Skin Rejuvenation. Beauty Treatment

advanced skin rejuvenation

For total rejuvenation and antiageing treatments, our advanced skin rejuvenation, and skin tightening and lifting treatments, are designed to make an impact, stimulate collagen and elastin production, and make visible changes. The great thing is that downtime is still low compared to more invasive procedures.

An initial consultation is required prior to Fibroblast Plasma treatments and recommended for all others, especially if you are unsure which treatment is best suited to you. You can drop us a line, or call us for more information.

What is Radio Frequency (RF)

RF is both rejuvenator and anti-ager that lifts, tightens and sculpts the face and neck. With no downtime, and immediate and ongoing results, it is a popular advanced skin rejuvenation treatment.

The face and neck are gently heated to around 40ºC, using gentle electrical current pulses. This heat initiates the rejuvenating processes in the skin and existing collagen fibres tighten immediately. The RF treatment also stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin fibres.

Skin is tighter and firmer, more hydrated and plumped, and noticeably improved straight after the treatment. These improvements continue over the next 3 - 4 weeks.

At Dew, we use an advanced skincare machine, the 4th generation Apollo Duet, which combines multipolar RF and Electroporation. In combination, the result in not only tighter and firmer skin, but the ability to treat other skin concerns such as acne, pigmentation, redness, dehydration and lines.

The Electroporation component of the machine, uses microcurrents which temporarily open the micro-channels in the skin's pores. This allows for greater absorbency of skin-correcting serums targeting the skin concerns above.

What does an RF treatment involve?

After double cleansing the skin, to remove any makeup, environmental dirt and debris, we apply a medi-grade serum over the entire face and neck. This is gently infused into the skin with Electroporation for around 15 minutes to ensure it gets to where it's needed most. This continues for around 15 minutes.

Next, during the RF treatment, sections of the face and neck are treated for approximately 5-10 minutes each, depending on the level of rejuvenation and skin tightening needed. Problem areas may be retreated during the treatment. A cooling, hydrating mask is then applied for a further 10 minutes which reduces any redness, bringing the skin back to its usual temperature. Three to five treatments, 28 days apart, are recommended for optimal results, then annually.

What is Fibroblast Plasma?

Fibroblast plasma is a revolutionary non-invasive cosmetic treatment, known for its success with non-surgical eye lifts, neck tightening, resurfacing sun-damaged and aged skin, and much more. It tightens and lifts the skin, reduces lines, wrinkles, and excess skin volume and rejuvenates the skin by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. The treatment is delivered using a plasma pen. The pen probe produces a tiny plasma flash between the probe and the skin, leaving hundreds of tiny dots. Each of the tiny dots forces the skin to shrink and tighten. Plus these minor injuries instigate a healing response in the skin which stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. Results are noticeable immediately after treatment and will continue to improve as the skin heals and repairs. We use a plasma pen by German company Purebeau. Purebeau machines and devices are some of the finest and most precisely engineered products in the world, and in the field of Fibroblast Plasma skin tightening and lifting. Fibroblast plasma delivers results which rival surgical procedures, but with minimal downtime and without having to go under the knife! Completely safe, the procedure is suitable for most skin tones. Fibroblast plasma is an ideal treatment for anyone who wants to achieve a smoother, more youthful complexion with results that look natural. Treatments reduce crow’s feet, excess skin on hooded eyelids, sun spots, and smoker’s lines. Loose skin on the stomach and stretch marks can also be treated. Results last up to two years, which may differ depending on lifestyle factors such as time in the sun.

What to expect

The plasma probe produces heat, so each site is first numbed with topical numbing cream. You should not feel any pain during the treatment, however each person's experience is different, and even different parts of the body experience the treatment differently. As with most cosmetic procedures, clients are likely to experience some minor side effects in the first 5-10 days. These include some swelling for 1-3 days afterwards, particularly with the eyelids. The treatment area will have tiny but visible brown dots, or 'nano-scabs', which will start to shed over the 5 - 10 days following treatment. These can be itchy at times. To avoid further side effects such as hyperpigmentation, please follow all aftercare instructions provided.

What are Fibroblasts?

These are cells found in the dermis. Both the number and production of fibroblasts decrease with age, resulting in a lower density of fibroblasts. Fibroblasts produce collagen and elastin, the building blocks of our skin. Only the wound-healing process or an inflammatory response, such as occurs with the fibroblast plasma skin tightening treatment, will cellular division and regeneration be stimulated. This results in new collagen production and boosted elastin levels, ie healthier and firmer skin.

How many treatments will I need?

In most cases only one treatment is needed. However, depending on the area being treated, individual conditions, skin laxity and expectations, one or two post-treatments may be needed to get the results you want. Further treatments, to the same area, can be safely done at 10-week intervals after the initial procedure.

Contraindications

The procedure is not suitable for the following: * Clients with darker skin (Fiztpatrick scale IV - VI), as the skin is more prone to pigmentation. * Any skin disorders. * Clients who tan and spend a lot of time in the sun. * Pregnant or lactating. * Cold sores. * Melasma. * Clients with serious health problems. * Hepatitis A, B, C. * Pacemaker or defibrillator. * Any autoimmune disease. * Heart disease. * High blood pressure. * Metal implants or pins.

where did the name "dew" come from?

Water, the single most important component of the body, and daily essential intake. Dew, is of course water, and was just the perfect name for a beauty and skin clinic that aims to improve people's skin on a daily basis, including improving hydration.
